This is my website describing my personal experiences restoring a Ferrari 365 GTC 4 over a seven year period. I completely dismantled & rebuilt almost every single part of this classic Ferrari. This  site is the record of the rebuild & restoration of MPB 130K, a very rare right hand drive car. After dismantling down to the last nut & bolt almost very single part was either rebuilt, reconditioned or replaced.

A huge amount of patience, perseverance & organisation is required but after seven years it was well worth all the effort.

The Ferrari 365 GTC4 is an elegant  2+2 with a two small rear seats that were only useful as a luggage platform.Adding air conditioning and power steering made this Ferrari really useable for everyday motoring. It’s debut at the Geneva Motor Show was unremarkable & there was  harsh criticism for its unconventional  appearance.I think Pininfarina designer Filippo Sapino created what many see now as extremely appealing not "Il Gobbone" (the humpback) as it was originally called

OWNERSHIP HISTORY. Initially with several  owners in the history the last of these kept the car for 22 years.A comprehensive history file came with the car & unusually all the tools & manuals.

Obtaining the ownership details from DVLA was a surprisingly simple task.A £5.00 cheque together with the VIN and registration numbers to the Fee Paying Section of the DVLA produced a full computer printout & a copy of the original registration document.

  • Mann & Co.13 July 1972. Weybridge, England. as SA 132
  • Michael Leighton. 15 February 1974. Shropshire, England
  • Albion Advertising Ltd. 23 September 1975, Lichfield, England
  • Donald Keith Moon.10 March 1976. London,  England
  • Present owner:
Ian Levy. 18 September 1998, Manchester England.

A short test drive reveals this is an exceptional car but sadly the initial insult stuck. The four cam Colombo engine produced 340 bhp & though not as quick as a Daytona, the GTC4 was still quick & much nicer to drive.Hilary Raab Jr.’s Ferrari numbers book, lists an 18 months run(1971-1973) with 508 cars built including 41with RHD. 32 were  UK cars whilst the remaining RHD cars presumably went to Australia,South Africa, & Japan??

This is the finished car looking really beautiful.

There is  nothing more to do other than drive it-weather permitting!!
